🏆 COMPETITION CATEGORIES
Youth Showcase – 7 to 10 Years
The Youth Showcase is a standalone competition designed specifically for younger athletes. Athletes will compete in separate male and female categories and they will have 90 seconds to perform their freestyle routine in front of the judges.
At the conclusion of the category, the top three athletes in each division will be awarded based on their performance. This gives young athletes the chance to gain competition experience, showcase their creativity, and perform on a championship stage.
Championship Division
The Championship Division is open to club athletes aged 11 to 14, national-level athletes, and international athletes. Separate male and female categories will be maintained throughout the competition.
This division gives athletes of varying experience levels a fair and exciting pathway through the day while still allowing developing athletes to compete alongside and learn from more experienced competitors.
🎯 ATHLETE SEEDING
Athletes will be seeded into competition pots based on previous competition experience and performances.
Athletes will then be drawn into balanced competition groups. This helps create a fair structure while giving developing athletes the chance to share the floor with experienced competitors.
💪 QUALIFICATION ROUND
Every athlete will perform a 90-second freestyle routine. Judges will score each performance, and athletes will be ranked within their groups based on total points.
These rankings will decide which championship pathway each athlete progresses into.
🔥 CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRESSION
Elite Division
The top two athletes from each group will progress to the Elite Division, where they will compete for the overall Concrete Jungle Championship title.
The championship final will consist of two 90-second battle rounds. A third-place playoff battle will also take place to decide the final podium positions.
Challenger Division
Athletes who place third and fourth will progress to the Challenger Division. Competitors will perform a second 90-second freestyle routine, with the top three athletes receiving awards.
Rising Stars Division
Remaining athletes will progress to the Rising Stars Division and perform a second 90-second freestyle routine. The top three performers will be awarded, recognising developing athletes who demonstrate outstanding potential and progression.
🌟 WHY THIS FORMAT?
The Concrete Jungle Championship has been designed to make sure every athlete remains involved throughout the competition.
Rather than a single elimination format, athletes have multiple opportunities to perform, gain experience, and compete for podium positions. Whether an athlete is stepping onto the competition floor for the first time or representing their country on the international stage, every competitor has a meaningful pathway within the event.
